Responsibility
1) Assist Group companies and project managers in driving sourcing projects
2) Review technical specifications and designs
3) Assist in supplier selection process and supplier negotiations
4) Interact and provide support to Category Managers
5) Perform Supplier Assessments and Supplier Quality Audits
6) Ensure that supply of goods or services is on time in full
7) Respond to all Corrective Actions assigned to reports and suppliers.
8) Follow up and report status of suppliers production and shipment plans to the different Group companies
Requirements
1) no less than 3 years working experience in mechanical field.
2) University/ polytechnic graduate (Master) in a technical/ engineering field: degree holder or higher-diploma holder with extraordinary capabilities or experience.
3) Engineering background is essential and any Sourcing / Purchasing background is an advantage.
4) Must be a resourceful character with strong interpersonal skills
5) Must have strong analytical skills as well being able to organize, structure and prioritize different tasks.
6) Must be action oriented and make things happen
7) Fully capable of report-writing and communicating to sister companies in written English. Able to translate technical documentations / standards between English and Chinese.
8) Local and regional travel frequently
9) Excellent spoken English is a must.
10)Fluent mandarin is a must, and fluent Cantonese is a plus.
11)Experience in casting, forging and machining process is an advantage
12)A good understanding of ISO9000 and other quality and environmental standards is an advantage
13)Experience in working in a English speaking country/ environment is a plus |
